Software Architect
Description:
As a software architect for Everyone.net, you will dream, architect,
design, and implement novel solutions within the collaboration,
messaging and email domains. You will provide technical leadership for
parts of our application platform which today provides services for
millions of users and growing fast. We are looking for someone with
very strong technical skills, ability to own and deliver projects, and
a proven track record with web application development.
Requirements:
- 8+ years designing/architecting scalable internet applications, 5+
using Java
- Quick to find viable solutions to new and challenging problems
- Proven success with coaching and mentoring other engineers
- Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Versatile : can architect, design, and implement as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Guru-level object-oriented design skills
- Email-specific domain knowledge highly desirable (SMTP, IMAP, MAPI,
Spam filtering)
- Solid relational database experience and design skills
- Experience designing rich-client web applications using modern browser
capabilities
- Driven self-starter and a team player
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- US work-authorized candidates only

Responsibilities:
- Architect and design new components on the Everyone.net messaging
platform
- Document and communicate designs using UML, architecture papers, and
presentations to team
- Mentor other team members
- Lead and contribute to design and code reviews

Senior Java Developer
Description:
As a senior member of the Everyone.net product development team, you will help advance our hosted email application, which currently provides mission critical messaging for several million users. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills, ability to own and deliver projects, and a proven track record with web application development.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of objected-oriented programming experience
- 3+ year of object-oriented design - candidates MUST be strong in
this area
- Fluent in Java - intimate knowledge of java class libraries
- Proficient with server-side technologies including multi-threading,
transactions, servlets, JSPs, socket programming
- Prefer strong JavaScript, CSS, and HTML skills - particularly
experience creating rich-client applications on the web
- Working knowledge of Perl and MySQL
- Email-specific domain knowledge highly desirable (SMTP, IMAP, MAPI,
Spam filtering)
- Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and work quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Driven self-starter and a team player
