Everyone.net Announces Major Upgrade To Its Outsourced Email Solution

New version enables service providers of all sizes to leverage centralized email to increase customer retention and revenue

SAN JOSE, California—November 6, 2002—Everyone.net™ announced today version 6.5 of its outsourced email solution for ISPs, web hosts and other service providers. Now service providers can easily take advantage of the growing trend toward centralized email services that reduce customer churn and increase revenue.

"ISPs are churning up to a third of their customers every year," remarked Thomas L. Marcus, President and CEO of Everyone.net. "A centralized email service helps retain the customer by keeping the customer actively attached to the service provider's system. The service provider can then up-sell complementary features such as additional storage. Suddenly email becomes a new revenue stream and a retention tool, where it once was a cost center."

Industry standard IMAP4 and LDAP3 join Everyone.net's web-based email as centralized email services that store messages and contacts online, allowing users to access and manage them from virtually any computer connected to the Internet without losing sync. Although in demand, relatively few ISPs offer a truly centralized email service because of the enormous complexity and cost of maintaining such a system in-house. Everyone.net's outsourced email solution solves these problems, thus enabling ISPs to generate revenue by selling premium email features such as additional storage space to an ever-growing installed customer base.

"Our customers leverage our economies of scale in managing over 22 million mailboxes across 100,000 domains," said Wayne Lewis, Everyone.net's Chief Architect. "Because we're an outsourced solution, all of our clients can get the latest technology and immediately benefit. This release is a great example."
